Coles Bay Classic - Northern Game Fish Member Winners Again

Well it looks like the Northern Game Fish members know how to fish. Anthony Wolfe weighed in a nice Bluefin on Day 1 on the Coles Bay Classic held over the weekend 21/3/09 - 24/3/09. He won highest point scoring angler day 1 and heaviest fish overall to take out the classic. Erin Cook won higest point scoring Angler overall and Bradley Hay - having a very good year collected Tag and Relase Day 1 prizes.
There were not too many fish caught and as a result a number of boats picked up some prizes including Pipe Dream, Terminator, Serial Killer, The Other Woman and Barcrusher.
Day 1 of the competition realised some fine weather with calm seas. Fish were hard to find and albacore caught were in the 2-3kg range.
Day 2 was not as nice. The front that was supposed to cross at about 4pm turned up early. Winds and seas causing what was described over the radio as a washing machine effect. A number of boats retired early. Albacore were patchy but those that found some were able to tag high numbers of rats..
