This huge Seven Gilled Shark caught off Burnie by Daniel Paull (left) and Jeremy Shaw (right) may not be classed as a gamefish, but it sure did put up one hell of a fight on 15 kg mono! It was Released unharmed shortley after landing it.


David Mosely caught this beauty 68Kg Yellowfin Tuna off St. Helens on the Anzac Day long weekend in 2008. The fish is pending a new Tasmanian 15Kg line class record.


A 92 kg Southern Bluefin Tuna caught by Brendon Jessup. The fish was caught off Pedra Branca and put up a 45 minute fight on 37Kg line. Unfortunately, the fish was mauled by seals and could not be weighed for the club.


Daniel Paull with his 79 kg Southern Bluefin Tuna caught off Pedra Branca. The fish was pulled up quickly past the seals and landed within 40 minutes. The fish is now pending a Tasmanian record on 37Kg line.

Not much more can be said about this photo but, "BIG!" This 153Kg Southern Bluefin Tuna (SBT) was caught by Robert Clifford (boat - Dipper) off St. Helens and at a time when other anglers were still catching Striped Tuna. There hasn't been a SBT caught off St. Helens for two or three years, but this fish sure makes up for that! This fish is a potential Australian Record and was only 5Kg off a World Record. Well done.

This 66Kg (Whole) Yellowfin tuna caught by Mason Paull on 15Kg line class is pending a new Tasmanian record. Mason caught the fish outside the "Binalong Patch" off the 'Shelf' at St. Helens on the 21st April 2006.


Cameron (R) landed a 80.5kg Bluefin on 24kg line and Mark Faulks landed a 72.1kg Bluefin on 24kg recently when they fished off Southport Tas. on Good Friday 2006. Cameron is in the GFAA junior class and his fish was 2.5kg from being a new State, Australia and World record, however it is still one fish of a lifetime! (Well done guys, Ed)


A nice catch for Daniel Paull in the 2006 Coles Bay Competition. The Albacore weighed 15.2Kg whole (13.8Kg cleaned). Daniel is a GFAA junior.

These Yelowfin were caught by the crew on 'Animal' in a double hookup. Only these two anglers were onboard at the time. Jason William(L) has a 50Kg Yellowfin and John Pollard (R) has a 54Kg Yellowfin.


This 144Kg (whole) Striped Marlin was taken off St. Helens at Easter 2005 by a very lucky crew on a liesurely outing with mates.
